Moving-Image

My love for moving-image started at a young age; sitting in front of the TV for hours, hypnotised by the bright colours and sounds.

Time-based media was always part of my practice but became a main focus only in recent years.

Found-footage in my work acts as the new base material that I break apart in order to rebuild into something new, while keeping the memory of the old. My process is instinctive and intuitive.

I aim to raise questions with my work through means of irony and humour, emotion, provocation, and repurposing. I think of editing as a subversive action, using subtext to challenge conceptions, provoke and trigger discussions.
